Expositions virtuelles et valorisation patrimoniale : le cas des collections islamiques de la BnF

Abstract : The virtual exhibition offers direct mediation between works, audiences and views. This tool is an opportunity to promote our digitized heritage collections. It offers many advantages: to prepare for the visit to the museum, reach a wider audience and particularly remote users, give visibility to librarians' work. It is also a major documentary source, available to all and much appreciated by teachers. Intended for all types of users, the virtual exhibition raises the following question: how to approach heritage collections? The BnF's virtual exhibition aims to allow users to explore the collections gradually and discover the world of research; to offer several speech levels and develop digital mediation on-site and off-site. The exhibition about Islamic collections is both an opportunity to explain the specificities, design and operation of a virtual exhibition, and a way to highlight the heritage of Algeria and Maghreb countries.
