Les personnages dans la Comédie humaine sous tension entre "type" et "caractère"

Abstract : The thesis analyses in how far Balzac's protagonists can be seen as being individualised. Three novels of the Comédie Humaine are taken as a basis for theoretical reasoning: Father Goriot, Lost Illusions and The Splendors and Miseries of Courtesans. The approach is is given by characterisation models used in the descriptions of drama protagonists.
